Health and safety
It is the aim of the Management Committee to make sure that the Mt Eden Village Centre is as safe a place as possible, to minimise the risk of accidents. They have   a commitment to observe all health and safety requirements as  specified by relevant authorities.

Any potential hazard should be pointed out to the office person so that remedial action can be initiated as soon as possible. If this happens outside normal business hours it is to be recorded on an “incident form”,  located in the kitchen.

In the event of an accident, the Management Committee will investigate to see if there are any actions which can be taken to prevent a repetition of the incident.

First Aid kits are provided by the centre and are located in the kitchen and kitchenette. However, it is recommended that professional aid should be sought in the event of any injury.

In the event of an accident occurring during office hours, the Centre Manager should be notified immediately.

In the event of an accident outside office hours the Centre Manager will need details from those involved so that a report can be made to the Trust. An “incident form” is located in the kitchen. The Centre Manager will keep an accurate record of all incidents and report regularly to the Management Committee.
